GT Nominations

Navasota ISD will be accepting nominations for the Gifted and Talented Program January 22- February 5, 2019 A “gifted and talented student,” as defined by the Texas Education Code, is one who shows the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to peers. A gifted and talented (GT) student may exhibit high performance capabilities in an intellectual, creative, or artistic area, possess an unusual capacity for leadership, or excel in a specific academic field. The GT Program at Navasota ISD is designed for these types of students who need services and activities not ordinarily provided by the regular classroom teacher. Anyone interested in nominating a student in grades K-12 for the GT Program may contact the campus GT coordinator/counselor or pick up an application form in the front office. Nominations received after the February 5, 2019 deadline will not be considered until the next academic school year.
