Welcome to 3rd Grade!

Hello! I'm Mrs. Gutierrez, and I’m excited to be your child’s 3rd grade Math and Science teacher this year. This is my ninth year at High Point Elementary! I've taught 5th grade science and i3rd grade math, science, and writing over the years.I’m looking forward to working with you to make this a successful year for your child.

About 3rd Grade

Third grade is a fun year! Students become more independent, confident learners and thinkers. Throughout the year, we will work on mastering key math and science skills, while also preparing for the 3rd Grade STAAR Reading and Math Assessments in April. I'm excited to see the growth your child will make this year!

Corrections & Make-Up Work

Please check your child’s folder regularly and remove any graded work. Assignments marked “Redo” or that have received a failing grade may be corrected and resubmitted within 3 days for a new grade, up to a 70.
