Mrs. McAdams
Hi Everyone! I am so excited to be a Navasota ISD Rattler!
My name is Mary McAdams, and I will be teaching 5th grade ELA and Social Studies classes this year at High Point. I have been a public school teacher for 21 years, and I even home-schooled my own children (all now adults) for about 7 seven years! I have taught Kindergarten through high school level classes in a variety of subjects. Reading and science have always been my favorite subject in school. This last school year I was recognized as a Texas Education Agency exemplary teacher through the Teacher Incentive Allotment program. This is an honor I am so very proud of!
I am an Arizona native, but have lived in Texas for a total of 18 years. I have been married for 32 years to my wonderful husband, Joseph. We currently live in Montgomery, just a hop, skip, and jump from High Point. We have three beautiful adult children (2 sons and 1 daughter) ages 30, 28, and 25 whom I am very proud of. In addition, I have two adorable pups names Avery (a Vizsla) and Dakota (a mini Australian shepherd). They keep me busy now that I am an empty nester parent. In addition, I have the priviilege of having my 88 year old mother live with us. My husband and I enjoy spending our personal time doing anything that involves the outdoors...camping, hiking, fishing, boating, gardening, home projects, etc.
If you have any questions or concerns for me, please feel free to reach out to me through the Dojo app, by email, or by calling the front office and leaving me a message. I look forward to getting to know all of you!
