Mrs. McAdams
Hi Everyone! It's a great day to be a Navasota ISD Rattler!
My name is Mary McAdams, and I teach 5th grade ELA and Social Studies classes this year at High Point. I have been a public school teacher for 23 years, and I even home-schooled my own children (all now adults) for about 7 seven years! I have taught Kindergarten through high school level classes in a variety of subjects. Reading and science have always been my favorite subjects in school. I am proud to say I was recognized as High Point Elementary's Teacher of the Year in 2025. I feel extremely blessed and honored to have received this award. I am also recognized by the Texas Education Agency as master level teacher through the Teacher Incentive Allotment program. This is an accomplishment I am so very proud of!
I am an Arizona native, but have lived in Texas for a total of 20 years. I have been married for 34 years to my wonderful husband, Joseph. We currently live in Montgomery, just a hop, skip, and jump from High Point. We have three beautiful adult children (Dylan, Cole, and Emily) ages 32, 30, and 27 whom I am very proud of. In addition, I have four beautiful grandchildren. I also have two adorable pups names Avery (a Vizsla) and Dakota (a mini Australian shepherd). They keep me busy now that I am an empty nester parent. My husband and I enjoy spending our personal time doing anything that involves the outdoors...camping, hiking, fishing, boating, gardening, home projects, etc. We also love to cruise on our off time and explore various places around the world.
If you have any questions or concerns for me, please feel free to reach out to me through the Dojo app, by email, or by calling the front office and leaving me a message. I look forward to getting to know all of you!
